Whitefish is a group of young, ambitious culinary industry professionals working and living in West Sonoma County. We are passionate about good food, well made products and sustainable agriculture. Through our events and dinners, we strive to support local producers, winemakers and artists living around our community. We try to create engaging, interactive and thoughtful dining experiences using ingredients sourced from the landscape around us.

 

Chef Ben Spiegel

Ben Spiegel a proud resident of Sonoma County. He is the former chef of Skal in New York City, and previously sous-chef at The Willows Inn on Lummi Island. Ben has worked in restaurants across Europe including time spent at noma and AOC in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, he has interned in Kyoto, Japan,  France's Loire Valley, Reykjavik, Iceland and London, England. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Ben grew up cooking in some of the city's top restaurants before moving abroad. He is passionate about local food issues, sustainable agriculture and foraging wild foods. 

 

 

 

 

General Manager Nicole Daly

Growing up in West Sonoma County, Nicole learned to love food at an early age.  Her first and fondest memories are of being in the garden or the kitchen with her mother.  From the beginning she knew she needed to lead a life in food. 

Through the years Nicole's deep understanding of Sonoma County grew beyond just food and into the celebrated wine regions across the county.  The 5 years Nicole spent at the Sonoma County Vintners helped her develop a comprehensive knowledge of the Sonoma County wine world and community. Nicole's passion and goal is to share with others the incredible partnerships in Sonoma County between locally sourced food and boutique terroir driven wines.
